The bedbug topic has caught the eye and aesthetic fancy of a New York artist who works under the name Samuel Mark and sells his pieces on the street in SoHo. His bedbug works–mainly drawings of bedbugs and messages spray-painted on salvaged mattresses and sofas — have been popping up in the East Village and on St. Marks Place, but he does not sell the pieces because they’re “a public display and installation to the city.”…
Back on Friday, a street art prankster with a lot of time, bed bug-ridden furniture and a van on his hands, Samuel Mark, took the popular activity of defacing Shepard Fairey’s mural at Bowery and Houston to the next level…
